Vector Marketing/Cutco

is cutco really a scam? along the lines of a multi level marketing group like Quixtar?

i always thought they focused on actually selling a product.

now, their promises of becoming wealthy or "looking good on a resume" probably aren't accurate.

It is mlm. You have to generate your own list of people to bother, then get a list from those people you are bothering and so on and so on. Cutco just sits back and lets you do all the work while they collect the money.

It's a real shame though because I've heard the knives are pretty good.

The knives are of very good quality, but yeah, they basically instruct you to start with people you're "comfortable with", aka family and neighbors. Before I knew what it was, I went to one of their informational meetings and left rather abruptly...then one of our family friends actually tried it out. Now my mom has a set of Cutco knives 😉

i think a lot of ppl who got into vector... after they want out... the ebay their knives (you gotta buy your own demo set when you start).

even on ebay, those sucka's are kinda pricey.

bottomline is, it is like anything else...you get out what you put in......

if you are lured in by thoughts of riches beyond your imagination then you must also realize that this will only come as a result of a lot of hard face 2 face sales work. Its a job not free money. You work the business a little you make alittle you put in 40 hours a week and get good at what you do you can make decent money.
