Veal....myth or true?

I keep hearing about treatment of veal when they're born and all this other stuff that sounds like it's a load of crap. Things like the calves are put in a stall for two years and can't move. I know marble steak is prepared kind of like that but i'm talking about veal. I searched snopes, and couldn't find anything. Google isn't helping much, because the top results are all these PETA sites which are usually exposing the worst of the worst. Anybody here know the truth?

Cliffs:

Veal = tasty 🙂

if you like it eat it.

what's with this bs. "oh i really want to stay on some kind of moral ground, but i know those peta sh1ts are just liars, so someone please tell me that what they claim really isn't true.

grow up and make your own fvcking decisions.

Just shut up and eat. Don't ask questions.

I'll eat it anyways, it's delicious. Just curious whether it's true or not. If it's not I can laugh in some people's faces. If it is true, well then they're missing out, and i continue to enjoy my veal 😉

From what I remember, it is true that they are kept in stalls, but it isn't for 2 years. Most veal animals don't live that long. The reason is, is too keep the meat more tender.

Ah, probably the less they move, the less muscles they have = more tender meat

yum 🙂

go to:

www.noveal.org

and

www.vealfarm.com

it will answer your questions. They are saying the same thing, but one is putting it harsher than the other.

No Veal states taht they are kept in crates and locked up......The farmers state that tehy are kept in individuale stalls. Take it as you may!

Nothing better than a nice veal parm from a real Italian place in NYC. I do love my baby cows! I heard that they kill an extra baby cow and throw it away, just to make you feel worse for eating the veal... poor baby cow. Poor tastey tender baby cow.

never tried veal, only heard of it.
How is it that much more different then beef? Except that it is alot more tender?
just curious

On Planet Veal, they keep YOU in a stall and eat you.

So, don't feel bad about eating the lesser lifeforms; they are here for our consumption.

Someday, the Beings of Light and Teeth will rocket down from the sky and begin eating us raw. Eat veal while you still can.
