I not to sure what your trying to do. Do you want to hook up your vcr to your computer so you could record videos or tv shows. If so your video card must have a video in connector. Just connect that from the video out from the vcr to the video in of the video card. Then connect the left and right audio in the line in of your sound card. I'm not too sure what software there is out there recording and viewing because I have a Radeon 64 DDR VIVO and use the multimedia software.
The pres of our company asked me to see if I could look into to possibly including a small presentation on our new disks. I have a gf3 w/ dvi will that work?
Unless your GF3 has a video in port then no it won't work. DVI and the svideo ports are for output only. You can buy an tuner card such as the ATI TV Wonder VE. It goes for around $40 USD.
I'm assuming the s-video conection on the vid card is the Vid out...
If you want to video tape the output, via the s-video, your VCR needs to have that as an input source.
