Not quite sure which forum this should be in, figured video should be a safe bet.
Just wondering if anyone has any clue what's wrong with my vcr?
When you put in a tape, if you just leave it there it's fine but if you try to play, ff or rewind it, it'll only go for a few seconds before shutting itself off. Also, the first time it happened it made a horrific screeching sound when I tried to eject the tape.
I don't have any experience with fixing vcrs (that's probably obvious), but I have been searching google, currently to no avail. Any ideas?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, it starts to eat the tape if you ff or rewind it (well, as much as it can before it shuts off), but it doesn't appear to do that if you press play.
