Im running 1003
I havent looked for or tried the 1004 beta bios yet, so not sure if that will answer my question
I just got my p4b266-c and 1.6a chip the other day..
I connected the board, ram, processor, and video.. and tested it out.. it worked fine.. so I went straight up to 2.4ghz.. no problems
when I hooked up a cd drive and harddrive.. it didnt want to post.. so I reset the bios.. then I updated to 1003, set it back to 2.4ghz, and this time set the memory to 1:1.. and the vcore voltage to 1.65.. it booted up fine and ran smooth
then I brought in all my actual components that would be going into the machine.. sound, cdrw, dvd drive, tv tuner, etc...
and when I booted back up.. again, it wouldnt post..
so I went in and changed the voltage to 1.70 and it comes up fine
but.... on bootup.. the hardware monitor displays and wants me to go check my settings.. when I look in the bios at the hardware monitor.. I can see the vcore is bouncing between 1.65 and 1.73.. and since I only have settings up as high as 1.70 in my bios.. I cant raise it any higher.. I can tell it to ignore the vcore monitor, and it boots fine.. but I would rather not have to set that on ignore.. and I would prefer to just raise the vcore voltage to 1.75 for now, until I get it burned it... is there a bios out, that will allow me to raise the voltae up another .05?
