vcore too low

I just got my athlon XP 1800+ today. I unlocked it and overclocked to 1,733Mhz. I have a few problem/questions: 1) I set the mutltiplier and fsb to 13x139, which should be 1807Mhz, but it's showing 1,733Mhz instead. 2)I set the vcore to 1.85V, but it's showing up as 1.80V according to hardware monitor. Also, when the cpu runs at full load (using cpuburn4), the vcore drops to 1.76V and the cpu temp went to 118F (system = 84F). Anyone else experience this problem? any suggestions? oh, yea, it's on an Abit KG7 motherboard and enhance 350Watt power supply.

The BIOS reports the speed closest to one listed in a look-up table rather than a measured speed. Use Sandra or WCPUID for a masured speed.

Hi!

The vcore fluctuations tend to indicate that the PSU is too stressed and you have too many components in your system
and it cannot handle it.
In my setup the vcore fluctuation are maximum 0.02. No more.

Get a bigger PSU!

The replacing a PSU may help...... but.....

I was able to squeez my 1000 MHz Athlon from my 1250 barrier to a completely stable 1300 by taking a soldering iron to my mobo.
If you are not experienced at clean soldering or subject your rig to vibrations (lan parties), skip this.

For me, it worked beautifully, I watched my 5v line stablized under load and the core voltage fall in line also. Each connecter has a voltage loss potential, sometimes just switching connectors (or prying with a jewel screwdriver) will yield different results.
