Vcore specs for computer

Where can I get the required Vcore info for my computer.

running a P4/1800with socket-478 using p4x333 northbridge chipset (I THINK)

My vcore is: 1.728v
vcc2.5v: 2.528v
vcc3.3v: 3.280v
vcc5v: 4.892v
+12v: 12.288v
-12v: -11.393v
sb5v: 4.999v
vbat: 3.328v

what exactly do these mean? How do I know if they are correct? System seems to be running hot, in process of installing cooling fans, but found out that overclocking increases heat, and I dont know if mine are, or how to even do it.

Is there some more info on this, A link I can read up on?

Well first off the p41800 is a willamette chip right??? There is 3 types of 1800mhz p4's

1)socket 423 1800mhz Willamette (.18micron chip w/ 256kb of l2 cache)
2)socket 478 1800mhz Willamette (.18micron chip w/ 256kb of l2 cache)
3)socket 478 1800mhz Northwood (.13micron chip w/ 512kb of l2 cache)

***look on the box or the top of the chip to find whether 1 or 2***

I think it is likely 2 since the vcore states 1.73v which is close to the 1.75v of default vcore...

The first 2 at default run at a higher vcore of 1.75v...the third option runs at 1.5v default.


If it is 1 or 2 the willamettes did not oc very well compared to number 3 and in most cases the board likley doesn't offer much above 1.85v or .1v increase....The heat on the willamettes were also a bit higher and hence any ocing will likely draw it up higher quickly..Need good cooling on the cpu chip first off...
