vCore questions

Hello, I have worked with 2.4ghz with 1.4v for the past half year. Just recently I upped my vCore from 1.4 to 1.45 to get my self to 2.5ghz. The question I have is that, I set vCore to 1.45 in bios, but in speedfan, cpuz, and some other softwares, the vCore reads only 1.42 or 1.425. what the heck is going on here?

your PSU or mobo could be undervolting the CPU....pretty unusual though, most seem to overvolt a bit, my A64 3000+@2.67Ghz runs at 1.5v but the mobo overvolts a bit so the voltage is usually 1.52-1.54v, which works fine.

I'm not sure about BIOSTAR boards, but I have found that most Gigabyte boards(like my K8NS PRO and all my other ones....too many to list)overvolt by 0.025-0.045v.
