VCORE, other settings, and bCLK

Back in the day with Sandy Bridge, did anyone ever notice whether an increase in bCLK from 100 to 101 cost proportionately more in additional VCORE, or that other settings would "get you there" without changing it?

Just curious . . . and fishing for insight . . . Otherwise, sorry to trouble all you IB and Haswell hot-dawgs!
