I've just put together a new system. I'm having a vCore problem with the AMD 1800xp on an ASUS A7V266-E. The vcore is 1.82 read by the BIOS, ASUS probe and Sandra.
With everything on default settings for the 1800xp, I get the same readings in BIOS . I've tried this and that with the jumpers, to no avail.
I believe the Vcore should be 1.75. Am I right? I've called Monarch, the seller and AMD partner and have gotten the run around from a supposed AMD tech. He tells me it is "OK". He says some of the CPUs have higher Vcore than others. Not to worry.
I bought the Mobo from Directron. I contacted them and got a similar run around. They tell me not to worry. We went over the jumper set up. Made sure it was in "jumper free" things seemed as they should be. The tech support there told me they were going to get out a board and CPU and set it up and see what they got for the Vcore. They were going to call me back. 5 days no call.
Anyone out there with the A7V266-E with some ideas or knowledge of this problem please let me know. Somehow Monarch and Directron's, not to worry, advice just hasn't helped me sleep better at night. CPU=$170, Mobo=$165.

Need some feedback.
