Vcore issue with P5B-E

I have been in the AMD camp for years and this is the first run back to Intel in a long, long time.
I have a P5B-E Motherboard with 0601 bios.
I am confused about many things, but first is the Vcore options on the CPU.
The lowest I see is 1.4V, although the Manual states I should see much lower.
I just want to bump up the Vcore slightly from the 1.2-1.3 I get on auto.
Is there a dual voltage as in the old days?
I can see only 1.4-1.7 in about 20 steps.

Almost forgot this is a E6400 CPU.

Thanks,
Mark

I found a guide on the net and one of the settings I changed
enabled the lower vcore settings.
I would think that the default CPU vcore should be available all the time, but I guess not.
