VCore for XP 1800?

I see from the AMD page that the VCore should be 1.75V. I have an ASUS A7V266A and AMD XP 1800 and the lowest the MB will let me set it is 1.80 and the hardware monitor is saying it is at 1.82V. I have not been able to cool my XP chip down below 49C at idle ...could this be because of the increased voltage??

The default is 1.75v but most boards give higher voltage to improve stability,my own XP 1700+ on my Epox is 1.77-1.78v at default, you should be able to lower it in bios but it may or may not effect stability.

Just set the vcore to 1.75v in the bios. Wht ever reported by the mobo w/ variance between 0.05-0.1v is fine. No need to lower ur vcore setting.
