vcore for i7 950

dawp

Lifer
I'm currently running 1.42v for the OC in my sig, temps are a bit high, around mid 70s under load, tho my room gets a bit warm with the door closed.

It's been perfectly stable for the last 2 week, only reboot I did was to disable HT.

Cooling I have is a swiftech apogee XT which I replaced the top with a V2, a couple of 120 radiators, a Black Ice SR120 and an ancient Black Ice pro120. for fans I have 4 Yate loon D12SH-12, 2 Nanoxia fx12-1250 and 1 original lian li 120 that came with the case. Pump is Jingway DP1200 CPX-PRO (same as Danger Den CPX-PRO)

I can run LinX without a failure for nearly 10 hrs until it finishes.

I was wondering if that is a safe vcore for extended use considering my setup and temps.

If your pc is not doing dc folding etc. at 100% load 24/7 then your vcore not bad.
Before I ran 1.42v 24/7 I would lower my oc first.
Been running 1.312v for 2 years now.
