Vcore fluctuation on i7

Hello,
according to Asus Probe, my Vcore is between 1.05v and 1.24v (sometimes 1.28v).
Most of the time it's at 1.05v, but under load i climb up to 1.24v.
I just want to know if thats normal with a i7 CPU.

I tried to disable Turbo and HT, but it still does it. Also, in bios hardware monitor the voltage is 1.24v.

Thanks

Do you have any of the halt states or similar power-saving features enabled? I'm sure if cores 1-3 go idle, core 0 will take less power, while when under load, the power usage will go up.

Hello,
I might have power saving features enabled if they are enabled as default.
I've installed CPU-Z, and i can see that the core speed is also fluctuating, so it might just be some kind of power saving feature on my p6t. At least, i hope so.
I'm just worried a bit because a danish hardware testing site claimed the standard Vcore is 1.15 so 1.28 seemed high to me.

I'm pretty confident that's power savings, which apparently go beyond Core 2. I built up a 920 a few weeks ago and noticed the same thing. Fluctuation from 1.06 to about 1.24 or so. But you can see that when you load the CPU, the voltage goes up, and when you unload, it goes down. Kind of like the cool 'n quiet on AMD. Definitely not vdroop - far too great a swing and going in the wrong direction (vdroop usually occurs under load I believe).
