Right now i seem to be damn stable @ 1.575v @140FSB with a MCX478 my temps are 31-35 at all times..

But seems like if i go anything over 140fsb, windows xp gives me some errors andwont load, i had the chip boot at 2.7 but windows wont load so, i know the chip can do 2.4 easy, guess maybe i need to justup the votage a bit more maybe to 1.65 or so...anway just wondering what mostof the people with the 150+ fsb have there vcore at.

Thanks.

Up the Voltage to 1.65+. That should make your system to load windows. If still no go, up it to 1.75 if not, 1.85. I would stop here with a stock HSF. If you got some very good air or water cooling, I would try 1.95- 2+ V hehehehehe.... You don't up the voltage, you aint going nowhere.

I wouldn't go higher than 1.85 volts on the Northwood with the stock heatsink. That said, the 1.85 volt option in the bios of many boards is actually closer to 1.70 volts, so you should go by what motherboard monitor tells you.

Remember, if you have the Asus P4B266, enable the "turbo 1" option to lock the PCI and AGP bus speeds. Also, the PCI 1.1 slots on the Asus and some other boards have trouble at 150+MHz with some USB devices (like MS mice), so in that case, use the included USB 2.0 slots, which do work fine at >150FSB.
