vcdhelp is down? :(

Maetryx here,

I can't get into vcdhelp. I was just using that site last night for a tutorial on ripping DVD to VCD, and now I can't get in! Someone else try it and respond here, please. TIA.

Yeah, they appear down. After a little investigating, it seems as if they are having a DNS issue.

BTW: They are still ping'able

Thanks for the help. I would be very sad if vcdhelp was gone. It's a very good site. Looks like a webserver problem to me, though. I can ping (like you said) but if I enter in the "URL" like this http://66.28.31.2/ it still doesn't connect. Which leads me to believe that port 80 isn't open or something. But the server is still online.

Yeah... Vcdhelp is a great site with lots of solid info. Lets hope this is not another dot com bust

I digress, the problem appears to be on cignal.net end, not NS1... Even cignal.net is down so this appears to not be a specific problem (that is good news).

Googles cache doesn't seem to be working, either, but it may for you.

Don't sweat it though, vcdhelp will be back. Not the first time this has happened.
