VC-SDRAM or something like Mushkin performance Rev3?

In my Asus A7V manual it says it supports VC-SDRAM and that it kicks butt (not in that language of course).

I was wondering, how much of a benefit would it be over my currently generic POS memory?

Also, would that be comparable to something like Mushkin's High performance Rev3 PC133 SDRAM (better/worse/same?) That stuff looks pretty sweet to me.

Oh, if it helps, this is for a 1.2ghz t-bird system soon to have geforce2 ultra, and seagate 15k cheetah...

Thanks

VC-SDRAM or VCM for shorter, rarely performs much better than SDRAM.

Mushking's Rev3 is normal SDRAM, except it is guaranteed to able to reach 150mhz. But since you are using an athlong system, I don't see why you would need this.

If you could find VCM for a comparable price to other quality PC133 ram, then get it. Otherwise, just get some name-brand PC133.

I agree with EDB; although, I really like the stuff. Get it if the price is right, otherwise go quality PC133 cas2 (Crucial, Corsair etc....)
