This was my theory as well. 1792SP has already been announced for Pro cards, might as well make a consumer version fight the 1050 Ti since lowering 470 price to compete isn't necessary since it's faster.

Edit:
They got the link wrong. Use this one http://www.xfx.com.cn/products/graphic-cards-products/amd-radeon-rx-系列显卡/#rx-470

Code:
BASIC PARAMETERS
Features: Dual silent fan + High Frequency
Model: RX-470D45IG

Still doesn't make sense though, nothing different except the number of SPs and a backplate.

Sorry didn't read the article, when is the suspected launch date? The 480 looks good against the 1060 on those charts, I figured the AIB models would do much better then the stock.

Hmm, maybe not after all then if it was just a typo. I guess 1050 Ti will have its price point market to itself, unless AMD wants to mark down 470 to really provide the bang for the buck, which would be great for consumers anyway.

I still want the D, but its only for China, so no D for me. It would have been great for around $150 for sure. Since the RX470 4GB is now supposedly lowered to $170, $150 for a RX 470D 4GB would be amazing.
