VBulletin Message Board Question...

I'm looking at running a VBulletin powered message board at a website of mine. I noticed that they make reference to the possibility of "professional" installation of the message boards. The website is fairly small, with hopes to become larger, and I'd like the best, most affordable board possible for it. Question 1: Is VBulletin that difficult to install yourself, or should you opt for the $135 professional installation? Question 2: Is there a better message board app which is as affordable as VBulletin, I notice that Anandtech uses FuseTalk, which I feel is well above what I'd like to pay. Question 3: Does VBulletin support more than one board under one account. Example: Can I have (in the case of Anandtech) an Off Topic Board, A Highly Technical Board, and a Software Board, or am I allowed only one of the three. Thanks in advance!

All of them are pretty easy to install. I'd recommend a free one unless you really need support. phpBB is free, um, YaBB or something too. A lot more out there. Others here can recommend other free boards that offer the same features as VBB.

phpBB is simple stupid to install. If you can get mySQL running ok then setting up phpBB will be easy. Same goes for Vbulletin but I think that phpBB has everything you could ever need in a forum.
