It would be nice if we could get the old Fusetalk Avy's , these new ones really suck. I'd rather be able to submit/use my own then these lame ones.

I was going to come to this forum to complain about avatars, but I see you have already beaten me to it.

22 pages of avatars and 18 of them are worthless. The rest are meh at best.
 
I say just enable custom avatars... just disable uploads if bandwidth/disk space is an issue. As for controlling what is appropriate just moderate it the same way anything else would be... same with sigs, enable image sigs but just restrict how high they can be so people don't go overboard, and discipline if needed.
 
FeuerFrei would like to register his displeasure as well.

If only there was some sort of poll, or polle, or pohl, or pulle, or powl to vote in.
 
Hey guys -- these are really temporary avatars. We will add more later.

We will have some of the ft ones, but they own most of them so... There is that.

We *may* allow custom uploads in the future, but that's a yet to be decided policy issue and we are absolutely waiting until we are out of the woods with the transition before we do that.

That's good to hear, kinda like what I was suspecting to be going on anyway. I sure hope to see custom uploads, EVERY other forum I visit allows this.

Those are pretty good. I think animals are definitely what is (was? you've got a mouse) missing. Some fuzzy.

honestly I'd rather just see a remake of FT avatars that look updated like YYWDJ's avatar. I'm sure it own't be violating anything if you design it from scratch, right?
