Hello all,
I read on a windows 2000 security site that it was safest if you deleted all windows script file extensions in your explorer - tools - folder options - file types, and there by REGISTERED FILE TYPES I deleted all scripting files, mostly all icons with a lightning symbol(VBS files, components).
Now I thought I would be safe with all these file types deleted, because now a program cannot just execute a script cause it does not know what program to use for it. Now here comes my problem, I can no longer install Norton Personal Firewall, nor can I enable my Norton Antivirus becuase when I press enable Antivirus protection it gives me an error message saying FAILED TO EXECUTE SCRIPT bla bla bla.
How do I fix this??? I have absolutely no idea what file types I have deleted, all I know is that I deleted all VBS filetypes🙁
When I try and install Norton Personal Firewall it just stops while installing. I am 100% sure it has to do with the script filetypes I deleted cause my Norton Antivirus now gives me these messages
So anyone out there that could help me solve this mess I would be very happy to hear,
Regards,
Laymen
