With this tool you will be able to
  • Change Vendor ID / Subsystem ID (not recommended)
  • Change clocks and voltages
  • Change OverDrive's core clock and memory clock limits, TDP limit, power limit
  • Make custom fan profile

There are some limitations though...
  • You cant change 2D / UVD voltages
  • You cant set 2D / UVD clocks higher than the values stored in BIOS (these limitations are intentional, without these limits powerplay would go nuts...)
  • The following voltage regulators are fully supported: CHL822x, CHL8214, UP1637, UP1801, ST6788A, VT1556M
  • For unknown voltage regulators, you can select voltage from a predefined table.
Doesn't work with UEFI/GOP, but I can live with that (maybe I'll try sending in a custom bios to MSI and see if they'll GOP it for me).

Also no MVDDC, which isn't a huge deal but I'd like to see it added.

That said with the fan profile, custom wattage for powertune and core/memory clocks with VDDC adjustment this is the cats meow as far as I'm concerned.

Thought I'd share since I've been looking for something like this since, forever.

Virtu/Linux where I can't access the clocks and/or voltage. Need GOP on them though for what I really want.

Going to test it to see if I can avoid disabling ULPS in CrossFire now. Before I had to disable it to overclock, and my second card would throttle at stock without using powertune which hasn't worked since 11.6 without disabling ULPS.

This works well for CF if you like ULPS but want to overclock.

Just played an hour of BF4 Beta with both cards at 1100/1500 using different voltage for each, no throttling took place and once I exited I was back to idle at 50w with a card shut off

Very nice. So I can set my own clocks and voltages using this bios editor, maybe even keep my card from eating soo much powa! Thanks Balla!

Indeed, and still enjoy the benefits of ULPS/Virtu/GOP(if you can add it) :)

Only thing it lacks is the vram voltage, which isn't a big deal for me since they can't even run 1600 at 1.7v in BF4 but can run 1550 with 1.5v, tee hee :(

I am almost thinking about clocking the cards and running them at 950Mhz at 1000mv and upping the memory to 1500-1600Mhz on 1.6v I guess if I mess it up I have another bios I can mess with. I have to disable ULPS now, because GPU # 2 will randomly spike to 100% - this is common?

Yes, CF is broken without disabling ULPS.

This fixes it for me.

I have mine at 1100/1500 stock with a custom fan profile attached.

I can fully appreciate what this allows :)

Never did like the high idle of CF because of having to disable ULPS, seemed like I was cutting one hand off to enjoy another aspect.

Card 2 will spike to 100% usage at lower clocks, or 64% usage at the correct clocks, that is gone with the powertune custom wattage aspect.

Good info but what do you mean by spikes are gone with powertune custom wattage aspect?

Ok sweet. I will try this out this weekend some time.

Whoops, forgot my MSI was set for apply on start up...

Yet it was working correctly, 2nd card was shutting off and it wasn't pegging 99% usage when it was activated.

So I reset MSI AB and restarted, only to see the same problem we always see.... Second card flipped between 99% and 64% even when there was no load.

So I figured it had to be another setting causing the problem that wasn't ULPS in this case because even though it was clicked it wasn't working.

So I went back in and enabled unofficial overclocking mode, rebooted and that fixed it.

IG usage, fine.

After closing, card goes to 300MHz for low power state, then 0 because it shuts off.

AMD is the wonkiest thing I've ever experienced

Funny you mention that, I had the same issue after running some benches, then went to play Cryisis 3. GPU 1 was @ 99% and GPU 2 was @ 64%. I did the same thing to fix it. Your right, it is wonky at times :) I gotta say though I am very happy with the performance, especially in Crysis 3.

Well I guess at the very least you can now at least set the second cards voltage with ULPS enabled, but no dice for SteamOS. Though it should still work with GOP if I ever get around to enabling it within the bios for the cards.

lulz, switched to 8.1 quick to see what would happen as far as performance goes with BF4 and the exact opposite happened.

Had to turn off extend or it would peg 99%...

There is no rhyme or reason, which is the worst part about dealing with AMD for me.

You think you figure something out but it's just random.

SoB! I'm still resorting to disabling ULPS to avoid the 99% monster on my second card, and I'm not even overclocking!

Everything stock, even with 13.10B, 2nd card shoots up to 99% the moment the GPU is taken off idle.

I'd love to know WTF AMD broke from 13.6B2 onwards, and before anyone says "it's your system" fresh reformat, and still happens. Although, it could still be my system :p haha.

As was I because I couldn't set voltage unless I disabled it, but this doesn't seem to affect the issue.

Yet still I can get it to work by switching settings in MSI AB, it's still working now with ULPS enabled with 8.1, I just needed to turn off unoffical overclocking instead of enabling it like I did previously with Win8.

Makes no sense / :( \

Is it just me or is there no download link?

Edit: Found it

I'm almost positive you can, I think I did that myself.

If you have a bad flash just boot from your HD4000 and reflash the bios.

Turns out GPU-Z can be used to save a BIOS in .ROM form... I just redid the whole modding process. Thanks!

Does it let increasing the voltage for memory chips? I have elpida chips that can't be overclocked past 1250MHz. Would love to get more out of them. Sadly, there is no temp/voltage sensor for memory. Anyone tried? What to aim, is it safe? Would you try this on a card without dual bios feature?

Nope, and nope. Just use MSI Afterburner and get the most you can.
