Hello,

Im planning to start studying next month ...
Im so confused about which one to pick, until now every one at work suggested me the mobile franchise..

The company i work with work with VB.Net , but i want to study something that will build my carreer more , and to last much more in the future..

My company is very big, so the chances are high that they will get into mobile development or something ...

So , what would u suggest me to be best for me ?

VB.Net which include ASPNET, HTML , C# , CSS, C#.NET , SQL, ADO.NET, XML, Stateless programing, Javascript, Windows Forms , WPF , Entity Framework , WCF , Windows Azure .

Mobile which includes, Web development, Glassfish, Netbeans, HTML5, Loopback, Javascript , MySql, JSP , JDBC ,CSS, JAVA SE using Eclipse, Andriod + iOS developing ..

Thanks, looking forward to your suggestions ..

my suggestion is to focus on mobile development, its growing and getting bigger everyday, also vb.net is something you can pick up anytime and if you know good fundamentals in mobile development it can carry over to .net. hope this helps.

Thanks for your advice..
its the way i was thinking ..

But after talking to my boss , he told me to start with .NET which is the start of programing career ..
He could be right... he's the IT department manager ...

But since our company work with .net , i asked him if i can work with the developers and he agreed, he told me just to prove my self studying and you can work with them..

So, my plan is to do as he saied , ( god , i will keep getting paid while i have no experience and studying sametime, and its a good step to gain experience easily, incase i want to move company, INCASE :X )

after a year, i will start the Mobile course ( since its not popular in my area, there is no companies work with mobile programing yet as i know ) ..

Is my plan any good ?
Is it right that studying .NET will lead and make mobile programing any easier?

.Net is a framework, not a language. There are a number of languages that all use .Net (C#, VB.Net, etc) so that's still a vague recommendation.

Learning .Net may help with developing Metro apps in the mobile arena, but iOS uses Objective-C and Android uses a form of Java so it'll only really help with those products if you get a grasp of the basics of programming and development.

Please note the intersection of your two tracks, which is: Web development: HTML5, Javascript, CSS, SQL
Also, basic C# is very close to basic Java. And ASP compares to JSP, though I'm not sure how much.

Thank you guys, i was lost a little before checking the course details...

I scheduled a meeting at collage on Sunday...

After viewing the exams and things they teach i found out that :
I will get MCPD from microsoft which appears will be wiped in 8 months ( the course is 14 months )... and will be replaced with MCSD ...

How could it be that i will get MCPD? the time i finish my course there will be no MCPD , just MCSD ...

MCPD --> HTML , CSS , JavaScript
MCSD --> HTML5 , CSS5 , JavaScript...

If they still teach the old HTML and CS , should i go for it anyway and then Upgrade? ( which im not sure how im gonna get them after 14 months, they will get wiped in 8 months) :X

or just wait until they open a new course which will teach HTML5 , and CSS5 ? and get MCSD straight ...

Thanks, i hope you guys got my point
