various questions about Vista

Hi,

I've been out of the computer scene for quite a while and i just have various questions about vista. My comp in my sig, i know it meets the requirements, but will vista be slow on my computer? Also, the x1800xt is 512mb but it is dx9, should i make the upgrade to a dx10 card like an 8800gts that is 320 mb? And what vista package is best for me, all i do is word process, surf web, and play games.
 
Vista will run very well on your rig. That's actually the kind of rig that will run it faster than XP.

As for a dx10 card... I would say no need at the moment. Wait until a killer app hits that makes you want dx10 and upgrade then.

It's a blob that detects as a 'test virus'. The definition is built into all anti-virus software. It allows you to perform AV testing on your network without playing with something live. It just tells you if AV is working...not if it's any good 🙂
