Grammer is joining cast of X-Men 3

'Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer is joining the cast of the third 'X-Men' movie.

Variety reports that Grammer will play mutant superhero Beast (aka genetic researcher Hank McCoy) in the film, which will be directed by 'Layer Cake' helmer Matthew Vaughn.

Speaking about Grammer's casting in the film, producer Avi Arad said: "This is a big role in the new movie, and when we met with him, you can see that Kelsey has that you'd-better-have-a-dictionary-handy intelligence."

Vinnie Jones will play villain Juggernaut in the film, with Variety also reporting that Maggie Grace, star of the hit US series 'Lost', is in negotiations about joining the cast.

Sucks because we already saw Hank McCoy on television in X2.
