Looked like an awesome deal so I jumped on it - and hit a wall mid-jump. The rebate is only valid if you purchased a PC/monitor or laptop recently. This has been HP's rebate program for some time.

Would have been a great deal though.

I have the 4200C and it's an awesome scanner!

The deal doesn't require you to buy a Dell computer or a H-P computer...

...just that you buy some computer or other, any manufacturer, and a scanner (or other qualifying H-P products) between 9/30/01 and 1/5/02. It says "with" but it isn't clear if they have to be on the same invoice. Read the coupon and decide for yourself...
