Might want to PM Shimmishim, or edit the title to catch his attention.

Hi!

If I were you, I'd recommend a Prometeia rather than using Vapochill unless you get the new LS model vapochill which is equivalent to the prometeia mach 2.

check this thread out over at xtreme

Prommy mach 1's are cheaper and use r134 but if you really want you can get it modded so that it has r404a or r507 from someone like bowman at xtreme...

get a mach 1 but if money is no issue... then get a mach 2!

they are really easy to install and it takes some experimenting with the seal string at first to get the right amount you need for the mounting kit.

i think the biggest problem people have is getting a good contact between the evap head and cpu... this is usually caused by too much sealstring.

if you have any questions, go ahead and PM me or post in this thread so others can read...

or else, i'd recommend you go check out the vapor phase change forum over at xtreme

here

Vapochill has a crappy design (original) I got rid of mine. The compressor draws off of the PSUs 12v line (who came up with that idea!?), and the front clips on the case are very fragile, they break off very easily.

I would reccomend Mach II as well.

They changed their name, that does throw a monkey wrench into the Googling process .

Out of curiosity, why is running it of the 12V rail a bad idea? My understanding is not much is run off the 12V rail.

i dunno how extreme you want to go but mach 1 or mach 2 should be good enough...

i'd personally just go with a mach 2 if i had the money...

not fast enough quit yet! :)

i'm only running 9 x 289 at the moment with the 5:6 divider.

i'm hoping to run 2.7 to 2.8 so i can hit about 300+ fsb and around 250 on my ram with the 5:6 divider.

but i've maxed my chip out so i'm going to have to try out another one to see if i can hit the magical 2.8! :)

My finger was so closed to the submit order button last night in regards to a Vapochill LS that it wasn't even funny. I want 2.8GHZ out of my A64!

I thought the Vapochill LS was just like the Mach II in performance with a smaller price tag?
