When I worked in Singapore they had similar warnings on their cigarettes, most smokers bought/used cases so they wouldn't see the warnings.

Luckily the company I work for sponsored a smoking cessation program that used self hypnosis. It worked for me in one session (Getting close to my 6 year anniversary of quitting). I can't visualize myself ever smoking, so it appears the memory of such has been blocked. Not sure why but it also reduced my desire to drink as well.

One session is pretty impressive. The good news about people who stop smoking is that if a person stops by 40 or sooner they lose barely any time--like 1-2 years off their lifespan. If they wait much past this this approach the average decade lost, which is nuts. I have a family member who is obese and smokes and is in my estimation compromising as much as twenty years off their life, certainly 15.

This is surprising to you? Really? It's like as-if powdered alcohol was no longer considered subject to the liquor tax. Of course they are depending on this revenue.

I don't get it. Is powdered alcohol taxed or not taxed or not isn't yet going to be taxed maybe?

People defending vapping must be hipsters. It's super lame

Do you have to know what a hipster is to be one? Because I actually don't know what a hipster is. Am I supposed to give a damn about this idiotic label?

I'm mostly joking but I find it to be equally as annoying as smoking. For some reason vappers feel that since it's not a cigarette it's acceptable to blow smoke everywhere like it's the 1950s. It smells and really shouldn't be allowed in public.

Some women use nasty smelling perfume. Can we ban that too while we're at it?

I agree with this. I have a theory though. The people who do this are just rude. They would be rude even if they didn't vape. They do other rude things that have nothing to do with vaping, such as not leaving a waitress a tip and talking loudly in a movie theatre.
People who actually aren't morons will treat vaping in public as if it were smoking and they do that out of consideration for others. Its rude to blow smoke, vapor or anything else in someone's face or even near them. It doesn't matter if its magic pixie dust coming out of your mouth. Its still rude to blow it around or near other people who may not like it. I even try to avoid blowing vapor in the face of another vaper or someone smoking. Its just rude.

I think it's brilliant. Tobacco companies know their business is going down, thus why they have invaded other countries and it's people.

here in US, they came up with a product that requires LESS materials and created MORE profits.

And people actually bought into it.

Don't get me wrong, I think tobacco companies are messed up, but they are brilliant exploiting people ignorance.

The vaping industry is controlled by small business. Big tobacco companies only make those crappy e-cigs that look like cigarettes, you know, the kind that nobody likes to use because they suck.

Oh, the hipster. The best description I have come up with is that you find nodes of hipsters at the intersection of the arts and technology. Anything that has to do with culture AND tech is like a magnet for them.

Thank you.

You could be right. The problem though is that every vapper I've run across this has done it. Some thought it was even OK to vap in restaurants and movie theaters until signs went up. It really is a 1950's mentality.

Rude people are everywhere though. I appreciate your thoughtfulness

I think the problem is your vapping. Stop using the e-cigs and I assure you that you'll be able to attract higher class ladies who don't wear Sex Panther and stink.

I don't vape and I'll stop hanging around your mom then...

Here's a solution, STOP FUCKING SMOKING SHIT. Nobody knows how safe "vaping" is, nobody. We do know that Nicotine isn't healthy. We do not know how safe it is for you to breathe in this shit for years. It doesn't matter if it is a cigarette or a "vape". Inhaling shit because you get hooked on it is idiotic regardless. It's only when you are dying do you realize how stupid you have been. That's what it took for my dad, too bad it was too late.

Don't be stupid. Everything used in vape fluid has been used in the food industry for decades. We know exactly what this stuff does to the body, and no one give a damn that McFastfood has been putting all of it in foods marketed directly to children for the last 30 years.
The only thing novel about vaping is the addition of nicotine (also well researched) and the method of delivery, which is could hardly be more harmful than the fast food method of deep fried.

I can't remember the last time I ran into a woman with bad smelling perfume. Maybe in the 1970's?
All perfume smells bad, and most of it is made out of chemicals considerably more toxic than vaping fluid. Then there are those stupid 'deodorizers' and 'diffusers' and candles that each just smell like a different version of ass that everyone wants to have everywhere.
Get rid of all that shit, then we can talk about vaping. Because, seriously every bit of that is about 1000X worse.

I wonder what a toxicity study on a scented candle would look like compared to a modern Vaporizer. I'm guessing the candle is quite the bit more nasty to be honest. Candles and incense fill the whole house with a bunch of toxic crap, houses that are also filled with CHILDREN. Thing is though, you can't tax candles and incense with a 100% excise tax, therefore, no one gives a damn.

True, but to my knowledge perfume is not addictive like nicotine or alcohol either.

Perhaps it is, perhaps it's not. I haven't seen any studies to say so. Regardless, they are not related nor mutually exclusive, so it's not relevant.

How about you guys just beat the habit instead of bringing up silly comparisons like perfume, candles, and incense?

I don't care if it's healthy for you since it's annoying and rude and I need people blowing smoke all over about as much as I need you guys blowing bubbles all over.

I quit smoking 5 years ago. I have never touched a vape or anything else. I can tell you that kicking the smoking habit is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life and I can totally understand how many people would not be capable of it.

Ah, so it is all about your narcissism.

My objection the "vape" movement is the proliferation of TV and radio ads with sexy celebrities pitching this stuff. Not as a cigarette alternative, but as the cool new "thing". Nicotine is an unhealthy, addictive chemical and I resent the fact that it's being marketed to kids in this new form. Advertising vaporizers or e-cigs should be just as illegal as advertising any tobacco product.
