Vantec VS. Speeze value and performace help me decide

This will be for an AMD XP 2200 that will not or ever be overclocked.

Overclockers.com rates the VANTEC AEROFLOW VA4-C7040 at a .30C/W and it can be purchased for around $22

Overclockers.com rates the Speeze 5R265B1H3 at .33C/W and this can be purchased for around $13.

I cannot seem to find any data on the apparently newer Speeze 5T321B1 that is also around $13.

My possible 3rd choice would be the Volcano 9, but I do not know yet if it will fit on the motherboard.
My original Alpha 8045 (on another system now) would not fit without a mod.

For comparison the Alpha 8045 was rated at .34C/W at overclockers.com.

Lower levels of noise is needed. These are about the loudest fans that can be used.
I considered other, more powerful coolers, but the rated noise level was too high.

No Fry's within 1000 miles of me anyway.

I am leaning towards the Vantec at this point as the place I want
to get the case from does not carry the Speeze and if I add in the extra
costs of shipping to get the Speeze I will be in the same price range.
I did compare all costs including shipping.

Anyone know of any reviews out there other then at overclockers on the
Speeze or the other coolers I mentioned.

I would go for the new ThermalTake Silent Boost wich comes with the fan already installed, it's made of all copper and is very easy to install. I wouldn't even bother with Volcanos, as far as I am concern they are very noise and don't perform as well as the Silent Boost. Below is a link to Casecoolers with a review of it. They sell it for $29, you may be able to find it cheaper some where else.

If you don't care about the noise, then the x-dream would be good. My opinion is that they are very loud and vibrate too much, I have one of those also in my junk box!

Aeroflow sucks. Nothing good about it, it gave the same temp as intel stock.
Only the core is copper rest of it is aluminum. IMO, not worth buying.

Get the speeze with the 80mm fan. You'll be very happy with it.

Not coincedence. Cools well and is quiet.
I use an SK-7 and when I open my PC up again, that'll be an AX-7 + Panaflo L1A, but if you're not going to overclock or play limbo with your fans, it'll be a nice cooler.

Agree with Cerb there. The Speeze/Spire 80mm HSF's, Falcon RockII and Whisper Rock are all very good value. They will be quieter than the Xdream or Aeroflow and cheaper. Cools just about as well for a low to midrange CPU. A GC68 from svc.com is the same thing minus the little copper slug and with a different, but still quiet fan.

All the folks telling you to get a cheap SK7 and mount an 80 on it are giving decent well meaning advice, but it's simply overkill for a stock 2200+. I have my Tbred A 1700+ running at 2200+ speeds with this HS, and my idle temps are 43 CPU /35 system. Full tilt it gets to 51. I could run 5 degrees cooler, but I keep my exhaust fan running at 5 volts for silence.

At these temps, the CPU will last far longer than I would expect to keep it, so I can't see the need for a better cooler.
