Vantec Aeroflow/TMD fans and undervolting

It seems that the aeroflow preforms very well, but I probably wouldn't like to run it full tilt all the time. Has anyone tried 7v or attached their aeroflow to a fanbus? How much quieter did it get?

I like my Aeroflow, pretty quiet as is.

Mine's definitely not quiet... it's alot louder than the stock unit, and a little quieter than the delta screamer. i'd love to quiet mine down.. but i don't trust putting my CPU's fan onto a fanbus.

Try the 7volt adaptor from directron.com + 3-4pin + rpm adaptor, or modify one of ur molex connectors directly + 3-4 pin rpm adaptor.

I'm sure one can make one manually. I made 2 of them already but ended up not using the 2nd one because of the length. You can go here if you want to make one of your own. I'm sure creating one isn't difficult to do since I got spare Y adapters and pin adapters laying around. Ironic, really... that I thought I wouldn't find any use for those and now I have.

Well, my Aeroflow isn't all that loud... to me that is. Better than the fans I had and tried before tho.

Factors to consider here are the case you're using and proximity and orientation of the case in relation to where you sit as well as acoustics of the room you're in. I'm certain there are others factors I'm not covering that impact the level of noise that reaches you aside from the most obvious, that being acuteness of the individual's hearing.
