I have a Vantec Aeroflow and I am looking to replace the fan due to it being worn out.
It comes stock with a 70 mm YS Tech TMD fan but those seem to be rare and I would like to avoid purchasing a new heatsink just for the fan

I am using it cool an AXP 2000+ currently

Which size of fan would work with this unit

Any reccomendations (one that is reasonably silent) ?

If providing a link to an online store, they must ship to Canada

Thanks

Welcome to the AT forums.

Here is your original fan: http://coolbidnow.stores.yahoo.net/ystechtmdfan.html I recently replaced my 70x15 fan with an Evercool 70x25 from Nexfan.com . It works great but is noisy at full speed so you have to crank it back with a fan controller - either one that is built in to your mobo or an add-on like a Zalman Fanmate II. My mobo runs it at about 2500rpm which isn't bad but still audible - when I have it on my fan controller, I run it at about 2000rpm which is nearly silent I had to come up with some longer screws but that wasn't a problem. http://www.nexfan.com/ev70x70x25fa.html - and Nexfan ships to Canada. They also sell the same stuff on eBay - I saved a bit over their web site price by buying mine on eBay. eMail them to get their Canada shipping info if you can't find them there. Whatever fan you get for a CPU fan should be a 3-wire with speed sensor.
