Vans Warped Tour...anyone go?

Just got back from it...amazing, if you like punk/ska music that is.

Over 20 bands, 7 stages, insane amounts of people.

My favourite of the day? Bowling for Soup

Anyone else been to a stop on the tour? How was it for you? Favourite band?

I'll be going tomorrow in Cleveland. Can't wait to see Brand New, Less than jake, rancid, suicide machines, bleed the dream. I always end up with the worst headache after warped also.

I remember i paid $1 to go see a bowling for soup show about a year ago, long before anyone had heard of them. There were maybe 20 people at the show, so it kinda sucked if you weren't a huge fan of theirs, which really nobody was.

We listened to dropkick murphys for about 5 minutes b4 we realized their sound sucked...something wrong with the upper range of the sound, so all it was was bass. Left the stage, and got bowled over by Less than Jake fans moshing

you go to the MI concert in Pontiac??
I miss going, but i cannot justify going to concerts anymore... sheesh, i am getting too old!

I am glad it was a good show. the last one i went to my favorite band LTJ, was not there so i stopped going... that and there were too many "teen-y booper" there

yes indeed, the one in pontiac, yay silverdome.

The best was all the bands realizing that we're pretty damn far away from detroit, so them saying "what up detroit" was kinda.....stupid?

Agreed about the teeny boppers. My friend and I were discussing the two kinds of punk/ska listeners.

1) Hardcore mohawk fishnet punkers

2) Teeny bopper preppy punkers that only like simple plan/good charlotte/all american rejects no offense to any of these bands of course

all i listen to is punk/hardcore, and im neither of your 2 options , i wear american eagle, gap, stuff along those lines...so you wouldnt guess me to be a punk listener, unless i was wearing one of my many band t-shirts

fav bands i saw there:

mad caddies, tsunami bomb, less than jake, thrice, afi, dropkick murphys, yellowcard, suicide machines, and a few more i cant think of at teh moment.

i was so sad to learn there was no THURSDAY this year, they are one of my favs :|
