If any of you World of Warcraft veterans (like me) are feeling nostalgic for the old days, or newer players want to see what the fuss was all about, check out:

The PvP server runs patch 1.12.1 (the last Vanilla patch before the Burning Crusade changes were implemented with Patch 2.0) and the GMs and developers have strongly committed to keeping the playing experience as true to "Blizzlike" as possible. It's a private server, so of course you should expect numerous bugs and hiccups, but they have been good so far about fixes and updates, and helping players get past in-game problems. The forums are reasonably active, and one nice thing is that some folks in the community have gone digging for Vanilla-era addons and mods that work with Patch 1.12.
I'm playing on the Alliance side, so feel free to look me up (in game name is Avogadro of course) if you decide to try it out.
