Don't remember the Blade Runner music, but the Chariots of Fire theme was quite the sensation at the time. As I recall anyway, I think it even was even Top 40 for a bit.

This hurt when I got the news. Vangelis is synonymous with electronic music, and the Blade Runner soundtrack remains iconic to this day. I'm also glad he promoted space exploration ranging from Cosmos through to the Juno probe. Going to be listening to him a lot in the next few days.
