Vanderpool Technology

I have this optione, Vanderpool Technology in my bios setting...should i enable it? and by enabling it what good does it bring?

vander what? why don't intel and amd just call them Visualization instead of making it sound fancy but non descriptive.

They do call it virtualization technology now, Vanderpool was the internal code-name. The BIOS of the OPs board just happens to use that name.

you most likely will have no real use for VMware if you dont know what it is already. but in the event u decide to mess with it you wont "need" to enable it but its just a optimization thing. i dont see any reason to turn it off for now really unless you are overclocking.

i have my e8500 overclocked to 4ghz...i have been finding ways to install Mac OS X on ps..and i have come across an article saying that it is possible to do so by using a virtual PC(VMware) therefore i really hope to try it out...so does enabling the vanderpool affects the OC?
