I like the prices at a store downtown called Atic, but I have had it with their service. They are just too damn rude, and I will not be going back, no matter how cheap they may be...where do the rest of you buy your stuff at?

Cool site, too bad I never knew abuot it before. Looks like a lot of other people have had it with the crap service at Atic. I think I will try A-Power next.

ATIC sucks! They traditionally have decent prices but they have the worst service known to man. They also have outstanding BBB complaints as well. I would never buy from them.

I've heard that A-Power is good as the guy who owns it is supposed to be fair and give a good deal and/or is good to deal with.

I've bought my stuff from ICIComputer in Richmond. They are pretty good and the prices are relatively competitive although a few bucks more than the absolute rock bottom advertised prices. http://www.icicomputer.com

Netlink on Kingsway seems to have an up and down rep. My friend who's a sys admin used to deal with them and he said he has had it up to here with them. So, that doesn't sound too good. Their prices are not that great either.

Vanco Computers seem to have pretty cheap prices although they are pretty new and I haven't heard their rep yet.

Some friends bought their system from Addax Computers in Richmond near IKEA and they liked the service there. Check it out. http://www.addax.bc.ca

If you haven't already the new Computer Paper has come out. Pick up one and check the ads.

Lately, i've taken advantage of some good Onvia.com deals. Like the Samsung 950p with coupon and free shipping. That was sweet.

Two friends of mine just bought computers. One from Aspert in Richmond on Bridgeport Road and the other from Rock Computers in Vancouver on 4th ave. They both said that they received good service and nothing has gone wrong with there systems since they bought them (both 1 year old).

The last computer I bought was from Micro Concept on Broadway (near the Big Bam Boo). The service was great & I've never had any problems with it.

Cheers,

I usually just check Computer Paper and see who has the best prices and go there!

Yeah, that's what I usually do. Atic tends to have the lowest prices though, I've had it with their service though. I will not spend my money at a store that treats me like that.

From my observations over the last year it would seem that ATIC is slowly increasing their prices. More than a year ago ATIC had pretty much the lowest prices but they kept on running into trouble with their service and grey market products. They were getting complaints on the Better Business Bureau. After all this stuff it seems that they've raised prices a bit so that they are still relatively competitive but are no longer the best. You can find prices better now at various places.

Ex:

Newest Computer Paper has ICI Computers in Richmond advertising their OEM RAM/128meg at 205 and ATIC OEM RAM/128meg at 220.

Considering their terrible reputation with cust serv then i'd stay the heck away from them.
