Sad day for us pianists.

Wow, I did not know that he was still alive.

I saw him play when I was a kid. He played a couple of concerts with the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center back in the '60s.

I believe it was Rachmaninoff piano concerto 2 or 3. I was 11 or 12 at the time, so I could be wrong .

He was a local boy. TCU always gets decked out when the Cliburn competition is on. It was our time to shine.
