Wow, I did not know that he was still alive.

I saw him play when I was a kid. He played a couple of concerts with the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center back in the '60s.

He was a local boy. TCU always gets decked out when the Cliburn competition is on. It was our time to shine. :)

Heh, maybe both! He had tendency to give marathon concerts, I believe...

Actually, it was both according to my mother - I asked her about it last night. She recalls that he played a mixture of Rachmaninoff and Chopin.
