Vampire: Bloodlines Progress *COMPLETE*

Modeps

Lifer
I just found the Nosferatu in Hollywood after going through probably the longest sewer system in the world. I used up all my shotgun ammo on those stupid three bodied b!tches with the enormous sagging breasts, so now I gotta buy more. How much further do I have to go? I got three quests from them ugly Nosferatu, one that is sending me down to Chinatown. Considering that's the last main big area in the game, I think I'm pretty far along.

I did find it terribly amusing that Kevin Mitnick is in the game. 😀

Hey Mo, would you recommend playing this game to someone......(like me😛)

I'd give it about an 82/100 overall. It's combat leaves a bit to be desired and there are several little problems like textures not appearing properly. Nothing game stopping but it would have been nice to see it damn near perfect after the first Vampire game (which I loved).

Performance all around is good on my machine, some spots like where there's water and steam in the same room, seem to take a huge shot to my framerate. The story of the game and the immersion in the White Wolf world is great. Back in the day I used to play Vampire: The Masquerade and this game really sticks to the rules of the universe. I'm so engrossed in it that I havent even really touched any other game since I got it... save my sports league games. It's definately worth playing if you're into RPGs.

The voice acting is superb, the environment is great although it the character models probably could have benefited a bit more from the Source Engine... It's awesome having facial expressions in an RPG for a change, instead of a static face and some text.

My favorite character in the game is definately VV. She's acts, looks, and sounds perfect for her Clan... plus for a computer character, she's dang hot. 😉

Here's a buncha screenshots I've been taking along the way:

lol modeps, u still got quite a bit to go, out of the entire game your about 70 percent thru.

chinatown is like the coolest place, they've even got

*****SPOILER SPOILER******

that jap chick demon hunter in that seafood ramen shop. she's got a katana and kicks butt!

*****END SPOILER**********

and that sewer mission is the 2nd longest mission in the game, so sit back and be glad that you've completed it.
The last quest u ever get however, can be longer or shorter than the nosferatu quest depending on the choices u make.

i give bloodlines a 88/100 , they've seriously rushed the game, and u can't even finish one of the quests until u patch the gmae cuz of a c++ error. besides all the bugs and glitches, it is a pretty unique rpg, with many laughs @ the ending scene.

Thanks for the info blazer78, I got another question though. In the Asp Hole in Hollywood, there's a guy that looks like a hunter to me (standing by the entrance, with a katana strapped to his back) I can talk to him or anything, he kinds just hangs out there... Whats the deal wit him?

I just finished that quest too. Although I need to back track back to hollywood. I think I might have skipped a few of the extra quests back there, I never went to Asp or the V. Hopefully I can still do them.

Without giving too much away, you'll see him do something after finishing a certain quest one of two ways. Not sure if he does his thing if you do the quest the other way because I've only done it the easy way 😛

Thanks for keeping it vague 🙂 I appreciate it. I'll just wait for later instead of chomping on his neck.

lol, thats basically the deal with that guy in the asp hole 😉

make sure u pick up a colt anaconda at chinatown, that weapon does heck loads of damage if you have a firearms skill of 5 or higher.

The sewers was freaking awesome. I love how each section of the sewer has like a journal record that continues dating further and further back into the past at each section of the sewer was closed. And all the ghostly whispering is cool too. Nosferatu are some crazy bastards 🙂.

Honestly, I was less than thrilled down there, mostly because I'm to weak to go up hand to hand with those three bodied things, and my blood magic doesnt work well enough against them. 🙁 Oh well.

I thought the warrens was definitely the hardest part of that game. And it did seem like it took forever.

Chinatown is pretty fun, you'll be able to wreck a lot of havoc there.

One thing that really bugged me in the sewers was the "pump/reservoir puzzle"... I knew exactly what I needed to do after sizing it up but it took me probably about 12 tries before I did it successfully.

That was a pain!

It seems like the programmers stopped trying after you hit china town, I found the ending to the game to be pretty lame..... but the game was real fun despite the insane amount of glitches and bugs. This is a perfect example of what happens when I game is released too early.

That's dissapointing, because I'm just about to goto Chinatown.

I think metalmat was talking about after chinatown... you'll understand when you get to that part.

By the way, my dude was one of those seducing vampires and I had an insanely hard time in the sewers also. I nearly ran out of options at one point. But I still love how the sewers were sectioned into time periods. Each section was blocked off for the same reasons as the one before it.

Still dissapointing that crap is coming 🙁
My vampire uses blood magic, and is decent at hand to hand combat, hacking and lockpicking... but yeah, I exhausted my shells and stuff with those weird looking things with the big boobs and gaping holes in their stomachs.

those 3 bodied things, can be defeated with celerity+shotgun assuming u have the necessary skills in firearms. otherwise just use celerity and run away from them 😛

or u can use celerity+knife+strafing, i've killed a few of them that way.

lol i thought the best part was the part after chinatown lol, i guess everyone has their own opinions.

well now, holy crap. I love the Katana!
I think I'm about to beat the game... I have no more quests except to goto the Giovanni Mansion... I just presume I'm going there to kick some ass. Of course, I could be wrong 😉

Oh, and when I went into Glaze with my Katana, I really felt like I was acting out a scene from Kill Bill... except for all the guns. 😀

Ok, so I didnt beat it yet... I just found Niles up on the mountaintop. For some reason a lot of my screenshots didnt get saved 🙁
