they normally charge $37 for an oil change :Q
they will match competitors coupons up to $10 off.

so $27 is the cheapest.

even tho i had a coupon for my dealer for $20 + shop fees, i went to valvoline because it's 5min from my house, and there was noone there (no wait). dealer = 30min away, plus at least 1hr wait anytime/any day.

they tried to upsell me on just power steering flush. i turned it down.
they changed their procedures since i was there 6months ago when they had a $20 special. now i sit in the car while they do an oil change.
i liked it better than watching from the window.

in and out in like 10min.

I don't let other people change my oil since the last time a shop did it they tightened the drain plug way to tight - probably with an impact gun, bastards.

I don't go to the rapid oil type places personally because I've heard more than one horror story about how they either forgot to refill the oil or didn't replace the cap or over tightened the drain plug or even forgot to put the drain plug back. I just don't trust those places personally.

hell no....I went there once to change oil in my pos altima. Through out the whole time they kept yelling at this girl who was changing my oil. She had no idea what she was doing. I just kept hearing, "No, don't do that."..."Hey, you're gonna break something if you do that"...and the best one..."You really have to check the stuff, you can't just blindly check things off".

I either bring it to tire places (hogan tire, NTB) or the dealer.

Yeah I get my oil changed there too. It's right next to the place I get my MANicure.

Me too. I was usiing a local garage with a good rep until they put the new filter on with strap filter wrench, crimping it. A month later the crimps rusted throughh. Fortunately the only damage was major inconvenience and a large oil mess on my driveway.

The amount of oil they put in depends on the car.

I go there for my work van because they pay for it and I'm not allowed to do it myself, company policy.

I can change my own oil in 30 minutes, save $$$, and spend some quality time with my son at the same time. :D
