I'm interested in using this fluid, Valvoline MaxLife ATF, to do a partial transmission service in a Toyota AW unit requiring T-IV. Cost isn't a driving factor, as the cost difference between this fluid and the OE fluid is a little more than a $1/qt, but it's primarily a convenience reason. On the back label of the bottle, it states that it is recommended for a variety of applications, T-IV being one of them.
For those who are unfamiliar, this fluid (MaxLife ATF) is used by all Valvoline Instant Oil Change Centers (VIOC) nationwide for their transmission service.
The reason I posted this question, is that I'm curious to hear if anyone has had this fluid installed into their Toyota. I ask as a very few select users have reported harsher shifting after using a multi-vehicle, equivalent T-IV product in place of the OE fluid.
Thanks in advance!
