Spoiler Alert: It basically only shows the logo, when its coming and that it is a collectible card game based on DotA.

If you were getting bored of Hearthstone, Gog's, Bethesda's, etc. get ready to give Valve's take on the genre a try. I guess there is a chance they'll follow their DotA2 model and have all the cards be free.

Might be nice to put the name of the game in here too: Artifact

Some more info about it:

There are three game boards that represent the lanes
You control 5 heroes, just like DotA
You can equip item cards on to the Heroes that you buy with gold
There are creeps that spawn every turn
You can play creature cards
Some cards are cast on the lane and have persistent effects on that lane
Each Hero has abilities like their DotA counterparts ("You can cast track on a Hero as Bounty Hunter and get extra Gold")

Not sure how many care since no one replied :(( hah), but here are some new tidbits that really don't say much:

http://www.pcgamer.com/valves-dota-...-esports-pros-will-be-first-to-test-itreport/

Valve's upcoming Dota 2 digital card game, Artifact, is playable right now and the PC gaming giant is lining up pro-gaming teams including Virtus Pro to try out an early build, according to a report.

VP General Manager Roman Dvoryankin spilled the beans in an interview with Russian site Cybersport.ru. A translation from Reddit that outlines the main points reads:

- VP players are one of the first in the incoming alpha-testing, organization is in good contact with Valve
- game is already playable at Valve HQ
- Several people from WESA have tried it, are excited
- NDA is in full force so he can't tell details
- Larger interview with him coming in January

Well if you look at the launch trailer you can see how many dislikes they got.

The golden boy shine on Valve has worn off and there is no appetite for another card game filled with micro-transactions.

Haha. I hope I'm not coming across like I'm shilling for this. I don't play any collectable card game (real or digital). I just thought this was interesting since Valve hasn't exactly been much of a game developer lately. This won't help with the "I'm not a shill" claim, but I think a lot of those negatives are from people who wanted Half Life 3. Personally, I'd like another co-op Portal, but I think everyone who made 1/2 has left Valve.
