Anyone have DoD:S or CS:S through Valve online play? What is with the "subscription fee's"?
Do they charge you a monthly fee for gaming online? Also, buying the game from them online, you just download it right? Or do they send you a copy?

PS. after I get this, who wants to get fragged?

Steam allows you to purchase the game through their client. When you purchase the game, you download it directly to your computer. If you format your computer, you can start up Steam again and redownload those games you've bought since they're tied to your account.

There are no monthly gaming fees for their current titles (no idea if they'd implement that in the future, doubt it though). So go buy those games and get to fraggin!

I'm downloading the $60 pack now. HL,HL2,HLLC,CSS,DODS. Good deal if you ask me. I played the Demo of HL2 for the first time last night. MAN! I WAS AMAZED at the depth of it! THAT"S JUST THE DEMO! Can't wait to see what the full game offers!

This is true, but I just re-downloaded HL2, HL2 DM, and Lost Coast yesterday. Just started up Steam before I went to bed, and in the morning it was done. No big deal. Less irritating that re-installing WoW from 4 cd's and then having to download and install the update IMO.

LOL! Under a rock apperently. I thought my system couldn't play these games (Far Cry wouldn't a while back), so all this time I thought I had too get a new VC to play them. After trying out the Demo's , and it playing flawlessly...I know I can. ;)
