Not bad. The only thing is that its being bundled as something called the orange box with Team Fortress 2, Portal, HL2 Episode One and HL2.

They're packaging it up with everything else to justify an outrageous price for HL2e2? Bah, forget it!

They get to give a copy away through steam to a friend that doesnt have it.

again, pretty lame. why should they be forced to do that? Granted, I think you can purchase just the "black box" edition through steam, but id be a bunch nicer if they could send back up install disks along with that purchase...

I see your point when all you want is e2 but you gotta see theirs. Valve has gamers by the short hairs. They put out quality in a field of mediocrity, the bundle will sell like toilet paper on camping trips. Maybe there will be a separate download after they've made another mint of us that buy the bundle.

Are you serious? I already have HL2 and Ep1, didn't want to spend money to get Ep2 when I don't want TF2 or Portal, and already have the other two. If they let us give away the license to HL2 and Ep1 though, that might be worth it.

If only theRe were a thread about this. And if it had hundreds of replies, that would be even greater. Oh, wait.

Yes, the orange box is, for some reason, very controversial and pissing a lot of people off. Of course, those people probably buy games that either a)cost more or b)are only one game. The argument has been beat to death in the thread I linked, and you can obviously buy TF2 separately, but orange box owners have been enjoying the beta for a while now.

enhanced engine better graphics
the portal game seems highly rated
tf2 seems good.
so honestly it seems like a good deal. esp considering their server support and additional content patches . they are a good company compared to say.. EA and such. the game play per dollar is damn good from valve.

After having my account stolen and going through the process of getting it back i dont really see the need for CDs anymore. All of the install files can be downloaded off Steam and burned to a disk too.
