Valve releases barebones SDK. Anyone interested in combining efforts to make a map?

I would be willing to help out coding a mod. I played around with the SDK for a bit and it seems pretty straight forward. I can do C++ coding but not level design or art.

Yikes!! Mod coding? Now that's way over my head 😀. Not sure if I'd have the time or dedication to do a complete mod, plus I don't think you'd want to do all the coding yourself. Unless you have some brilliant idea.......

You would be suprised, it's pretty easy. Valve does most of the work for you.
 
I'd be interested in helping out with the map project as either a tester, coder or fellow mapper. PM me to let me know how you want me to help. Also I have a server setup and I could easily host a site with forums. I could do it for no charge as a subdomain (ourdomain).venomstats.com or you could register a domain and link it to my server.

I downloaded the sdk, fine and dandy, now I started to read up on how to use 3dsmax for modeling, and wtf arggg ... anoyed... the process is just about as anoying as they could have done it

You can get the HL2 version of XSI. Should be easier to Export to Hammer with.
