I'll be replacing these on my '94 Ford Probe GT in a couple of weeks. Is there anything else I should be looking at, cleaning, or replacing while I have all the intake torn apart??

TIA

There's not a lot under there to replace, it's a big chunk of aluminum with air passages through it.

Sounds like you're confusing the valve cover with the intake manifold.

On some cars you have to remove the intake to get the valve covers off.

It's probably an OHC engine. So there'd be a cam, valves, springs, retainers...

Just make sure nothing looks like it's unusual. If you see all of the parts looking the same, it's wearing nice and evenly. If one part looks tweaked from it's siblings, you might look into that one a bit more. Might also check for metal particles that could've settled.

Don't stress over it though. There's no real parts that I would consider as maintenance items.

Yeah, to get to the rear VC I have to remove the intake and VRIS.
