Now I know why I don't like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and never wanted to play it. Tried it once during the free weekend. At least they all get two free copies of Left 4 Dead 2!

What does Valve accidentally banning players by mistake have anything to do with you liking the game?

How would 2 copies of a game be any consolation to those affected? Choice of any one game mabye, but 2 of a game chances are they already have just to be forced to gift them away doesn't do anything for them.

Obviously that was the intent. Why else give each of them 2 copies? Hence the reason why some in the industry didn't like the idea of Valve controlling Steam for distribution. It just happened to be the most popular non-Valve game that was affected, and the most recent Valve game that was given away.

Eh the fact that you got something for a mistake that was corrected is great in of itself. Usually you get a "sorry" if that...

The bonus of having 1 or 2 copies of a game to either trade of play is a nice touch.
