Value select of Performance ram?

Right now i have all value select corsair and kingston (512x4). They all run in dual channel. I was just wondering if i buy some performance ram (ddr) will i see a huge differance in games like bf2. I dont skip a lot in bf2 but sometimes low fps and that might have nothing to do with it...idk. So if i bought something like ocz gold or silver will i see a differance. I dont overclock and i was thinking getting sli for my 7800gt but my ram might hold me back.

amd 64 3200+
7800gt
2gb ram

THe only way performance ram makes a difference is through tighter timings or by overclocking. Your value select should be just fine. You won't have a huge difference, and I don't believe it to hold you back at all. I'd go for a new processor.

Although your RAM actually IS rather slow, I wouldn't be too worried about it... The most important factor here, is that you have 2GB of it... This amount with higher timings will prove more useful than 1GB with tight timings... Of course, if you're going to be measuring the effective speed of it, you will notice the difference, but games schouldn't be too "picky" on these ones...

Just wondering... Do you have a Venice based core on that 3200+? Otherwise it could be that your RAM is downclocked to PC2700... If it is a Venice, you shouldn't be having this problem, and you could start some overclocking as well... 3500+ speeds are nothing out of the ordinary, even 3800+ speeds aren't with such processors... Set a divider for the RAM...

Although GigaByte mobo's aren't heavy overclockers in general, this low overclock surprises me somewhat... My guess is that you have tried to overclock with:

1. Your HTT running at 5x
2. Your RAM running at 1:1

Either one of those cases could have been the source of your board not overclocking well... I'd say it's the second option, because value RAM isn't capable of going very high, and that speed looks to me like a limit for it... The first option is possible too...
