What's everyone using for overclocking for value ram? I'm trying to find some value ram that can do 280-290 with a 2:3 divider (~186 fsb) at 2-2-2-5 for A64 3000+. Anyone using OCZ Premier or Corsair Value Select able to achieve that?

I doubt you're gonna find value RAM that does 2-2-2

Tight timings do help, but not so much they are really worth the extra coin (unless you have lots to throw around).

On an A64 system, you wont' be able to run the ram faster than the FSB. Or are you trying to run the ram at 186 with the FSB at 180-190?

NO value ram will do 280-290, unless you get REALLY lucky and happen to find some value ram that somehow got TCCD or UTT IC's thrown on it.

If you want to run the ram at 186mhz, I think you'll have to get somewhat lucky to get ram that'll do 2-2-2 at that speed. It isnt' much below 200mhz, and most value ram can only do 2.5-3-3-x at 200mhz.

Guess I'll get some cheap BH5's for that then. Since it's the cheapest that I can find for something that's 2-2-2-5.

Twinmos UTT, Mushkin Blue UTT, OCZ Value VX UTT.

Hello 250 FSB 2-2-2-5.

I have had four pairs of the twinmos stuff, all achieved at least 240 fsb 2-2-2-5.
