Value of a used pair of Oakley X-Metal Romeos.

I have a pair of these and I was wondering what they sell for usually used. There is a tiny scratch on the metal frame (hard to see) and a couple of tiny scratches on the lenses.

Anyway I need money for my new P4 rig - so what do you think I could get? Thanks!
 
Anyone who spends more than $30 on sunglasses has too much oney IMHO.

btw, I could see myself paying at least $30 (but not into the $200 range) for a pair of sunglasses if they were really functional i.e. lightweight, didn't pinch the nose, anti-fog, didn't slip off, did a good job of breaking up the sun, etc.

But yeah, the $200+ people are paying for Oakley's mostly go to the status of owning them...

 
how much were those things.... 200+ retail? i'm guessing you could get about 100 or so for it if you sold it during the summer.....
 
Ok - the most ignorant thing about this gift is that my bitch grandmother is a psychologist. (I don't know if anyone remembers the "I got a physical for Christmas thread. :disgust: ) She has all sorts of people with more money than sense come in.

Some patient of hers left his Oaks in her waiting area and never returned. She said that she asked everyone that she remembered that came in that day and no one claimed them. 😱

So..... for my Bday, she gave me those.

Agreed on $130. You'll probably get less here than you would on Ebay but minus all the hassle with dealing of w/some AOLer who can barely read...
 
I sold a pair of oakley square wires here for $80. Well no, scratch that, 65 b/c the buyer wanted to do some haggling AFTER he received the sunglasses and AFTER he agreed on the price :|. Those retailed for $150, so I think you can look at getting roughly half the retail price on them if they're in good condition. Considering romeos are bout 280-300, I'd say you could get 130-150. If you sell on ebay already, I'd suggest that, since there are more less knowledgeable people there.

BTW, I am guilty of spending $200+ on a pair of Juliets. I think they're a great pair of sunglasses, definitely not worth 275, but after I tried them on, I was hooked. Luckily the sale of my square wires helped out a bit, along with my other sales on this forum 🙂. Don't diss the glasses unless you've tried them on. And I've tried on plenty of them in helping to make my decision, believe me 😀. What pisses me off is that oakleys never go on sale and are never discounted, and they are so hard to resell
