Valentines Day, only 310 days until Christmas....

Anyone else ready for this Hallmark holiday to pass us by?

Hell yeah, man! I'm still broke from Christmas...and I'm really broke...I hope the GF isn't expecting much, b/c this is definitely going to be a "Budget WSD."

ps
Women's
Scam
Day

I have the copyright on that, BTW.

Since I don't buy presents, I take the opportunity to buy cheap candy on Feb 15. Works out great for everyone. I get candy, and... well... it's delicious. Everyone wins.

only 310 days until Christmas....

I seriously bet Target has Christmas Candy for next Christmas on sale already, as well as clothes for spring 2004

I hate Valentines day, something always goes wrong or I am alone. Its one or the other. I think im going to drink myself unconcious so I dont remember anything of this one.

TO all you men/boys: STOP WHINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sheesh, seriously.
I appologize if you dont have a s/o. I have been there for many years. Don't worry, your time will come.
Plus, I also appologize for all those who feel they NEED to get their girlfriends/wives something.
I am getting depressed reading all these "bash vday threads".
Sorry if i am thread crapping.... but as a female, i feel guilty that my kind are making men miserable🙁

seriously, I don't understand what kind of girls you guys date, that "demand" and "force" and "scam". First of all, I told my guy that we should go out on saturday instead to avoid the jacked up prices (he's the one who wants to do it friday). Second, I've been racking my brain for something nice to get him. BUT, its all cause i WANT to, not because I feel forced. sheesh.

Now you know how we feel.

i guess i never realized how bad this day was for males..... i cannot understand how it got so out of hand. its just supposed to be a special day that people who like/love each other spend together aside from their hectic lives. Its supposed to be about being together... not going bankrupt and crazy trying to find that "perfect" gift for her

direct from my aim profile....

For those of you supporting valentines day...how does it feel to support a "holiday" put on and made up by a corperation that cares not for love or affection, but for money, and money alone? I do not need a special day to express my love for someone. It will be expressed through the actions that I take and the words that I say every single day I am with that someone. Love is not a one day a year event, it is a ever-lasting, ever-giving present that knows no bounds and cannot be defined by any sort of "holiday."

You know, you don't always have to BUY something, you can make a greeting, a card, or a craft yourself. Sure it takes time, but in the end it'll be worth more than anything you can buy (save a really big rock). One of my really good friends is writing a couple songs to play on his guitar, another is doing poetry; I think I'll stick to the artistic side of things and buy a cheap photo album and craft something nice out of it 🙂

That description reminds me of Christmas as well.

I agree, being artsy is the way to go. I am writing poetry -- finished most of the poem last night! (yes I am doing all that other stuff too, if you've read my other threads... but that's because I want to, and we love to surprise each other -- Revi is so wonderful to me!!!" 🙂 )

come on, you can make your SO not only with rings, necklaces, etc., cook her some dinner with a nice back-rub and I think she'll be happier then gettin' her a cheap ring. It's not like you have to get something expensive.

[Edit] And now I can imagine why most of you guys are single.... [/Edit]
